Chicago the musical Chicago The Musical is based in the roaring 1920's with lots of hot jazz - and cold-blooded killers!... songs include 'All That Jazz', 'Funny Honey', 'Mr Cellophane', 'Nowadays' and 'Razzle Dazzle'. ...Sassy, kooky and sporting plenty up front, Ms Sweeney makes the jailbird Roxie her own in this tale set in Al Capone's home town.  Four years on, this production could have become the show for the tired businessman, with cloned staging around the world from Mexico to Buenos Aires to Düsseldorf, but as live theatre it's still got that old razzle-dazzle. The Express  .Chicago the international Smash hit - when the band, under Gareth Valentine's direction, struck up a wild, jazzy version of 'Mr Cellophane' - I felt the kind of pure rhapsodic ecstasy the musical alone can provide.  The Guardian

Theatre Reviews

Chicago The production is still a corker of a night out, but by going down the tiresome theatre celebrity route, it has lost a little of its razzle dazzle.
The Express

Chicago Her eyes widen in the darkness and her voice cracks as she whispers: They didn't even want my picture." A tiny moment, but shockingly touching. You thought you knew Chicago? Look again.
