Fuddy Meers London Theatre Play

Fuddy Meers the London Theatre Play - Claire wakes each morning with no recollection of her life to date. Each day she is introduced to her devoted husband, Richard, and her troubled teenage son, Kenny. Still, she does her best to settle into an unfamiliar routine with the help of Richard's lovingly written notebook detailing the day's itinerary. That is, until this morning when she's interrupted by the entrance of a masked man, complete with limp and lisp, claiming to be her brother and here to 'rethcue' her. With Richard and Kenny in hot pursuit, they seek out Claire's stroke-afflicted mother, Gertie, and meet the Limping Man's friend, Millett, and Binky, his obscene glove puppet. Through the chaos that ensues, Claire embarks on a journey to uncover her buried past.
Cast: Katie Finneran as 'Claire', John Gallagher Jr 'Kenny', Tim Hopper 'Limping Man', Nicholas Le Prevost 'Richard', Matthew Lillard 'Millet', Julia McKenzie 'Gertie' and Charlotte Randle 'Heidi'.

Theatre Review

Fuddy Meers - Like a Coen Brothers version of Ground Hog Day, Fuddy Meers, follows amnesiac Claire through a twenty-four hour adventure as she tries to decipher the details of her increasingly bemusing life.

"...A quirky, wonderfully weird and touching American comedy... Fuddy Meers brings us a major new American talent... The stage designer Lez Brotherston has achieved some of the most brilliant set changing devices I have ever seen... Angus Jackson's fluid, fluent production has a wonderous cast led by Julia McKenzie... All in all this is a very sick, very black comedy of considerable brilliance..." The Express
