Jailhouse Rock

Jailhouse Rock Closed 23 April 2004 from London Theatre Ticket Web

Jailhouse Rock the Musical Poster

Jailhouse Rock The Musical Closed 23 April 2004 is a new stage musical version of the classic 1957 Elvis film Jailhouse Rock. It tells the story of Vince Everett, a young poor rebel who discovers his own unique musical talent whilst doing time in jail and emerges to become the world's greatest rock n' roll star.  The show also charts the development of rock'n'roll from its roots in blue and country music and will feature a vibrant and exciting mix of musical styles alongside a host of popular rock'n'roll hits such as 'Rockin' Robin', as well as classic Elvis tracks, 'Suspicious Minds', 'Burning Love', 'One Night' and 'Blue Suede Shoes'. Jailhouse Rock The Musical - created by the writer and director of the world-wide smash hit Buddy - is the story of a young man from the wrong side of the tracks who discovers his musical talent whilst doing time and emerges to become the world's greatest rock'n'roll star.  This is Truly the King of West End Musicals

Theatre Review

Jailhouse Rock - Instead of getting the usual 30 greatest Elvis hits, more effort has been put by writing and directing team Rob Bettison and Alan Janes into finding less well-worn Presley numbers... It's lively and enjoyable, and the detailed arrangements and performances of A Fool Such As I, Suspicious Minds and Always On My Mind are really rather excellent.  The Daily Mail
This is one Jailhouse you won't want to leave - supercharged energy - Great songs - Fabulous story and the hardest working cast in the West End today - Go See Now! Sky TV
