Singin' in the Rain

Singing in the Rain West End Theatre Musical Tickets from London Theatre Ticket Web

Singin' in the Rain - Thatre Poster

Singin' in the Rain THIS PRODUCTION HAS NOW CLOSED Unlike most of the movie musicals of recent years, "Singin' in the Rain" was not based on a Broadway stage production; it worked the other way around, with a London and Broadway musical in the 1980s being based on the movie. The original screenplay held up so well that the Tommy Steele stage version in London followed the film even in small details.  A witty parody of the momentous and painful period in Hollywood movie history when talkies took over from silent pictures, Its success both on stage and in the cinema is not surprising, with such songs as "Good Morning", "You Were Meant For Me", "Make 'Em Laugh", "All I Do Is Dream of You", "Moses Supposes", and, of course, probably the best known moment in film history, the title song itself. Guaranteed to lift your spirits, Singin' in the Rain boasts a succession of unforgettable numbers  Is this really the greatest Hollywood musical ever made?  without a moment of doubt the answer is, absolutely yes.

What's New

Singin' in the Rain THIS PRODUCTION HAS NOW CLOSED Fifty years after its release, Singin' in the Rain is still one of the best-loved and celebrated musicals of all time. In this brand new production, directed by Paul Kerryson, Adam Cooper stars as Don Lockwood - the all singing and all dancing role immortalized by Gene Kelly in the original MGM movie.
This feel-good musical is a classic silver-screen star meets chorus girl-next-door story set against the dramatic backdrop of the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Theatre Reviews

Singin' in the Rain is widely regarded as the most entertaining Hollywood film musical of all time adapted by Betty Comden and Adolf Green with songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed. Directed by Paul Kerryson.A former principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and star of Adventures in Motion Pictures' Cinderella and Swan Lake, Adam Cooper wowed audiences last summer as the lead in Rodgers and Hart's musical On Your Toes.
